| *Mrs Johnson was the wife of Eccles councilor Ernie Johnson who served a term as Mayor of Eccles. Joanne Thomas (Thompson) remembers that this was a group chosen to visit the Town Hall, observe a council meeting and then have lunch with the Mayor and Mayoress. |
